Here is a screenshot of the textures I made in Substance Painter that were used to create Nettles’ Material.
Made in Blender, textured in Substance Painter
I used Blender’s Sculpt Mode to create the initial high poly sculpt, and added vertex colors to it. Then I made a low poly version by doing a retopology. After that, I proceeded to unwrap the low poly model. I uploaded the high and low FBX files into Adobe Substance Painter to create the textures. I then applied the textures on the low poly model in Blender. I made different rigs for the low poly model to compare the results and then imported the rigged FBX files into Unity and set them up with character controllers.
Render from Blender of fully rigged and textured model. I created the display base by using Blender, Substance Painter, and SpeedTree to make the plants.
